Quick Start
Download Królicznik from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android). On first launch you'll see the welcome screen.
1. Welcome Screen
Tap "Let's go!" to begin. If you have a backup from a previous phone, tap "I have a backup" to import it.
2. Add Your Rabbit
Enter your rabbit's name, pick an avatar and color. You can also add a photo, birth date, and sex. Tap "Done ✓" when ready.
App Navigation
The bottom bar has 4 tabs:
- 📋 Today - daily tasks, quick actions, meds to give, upcoming visits
- 🐰 Rabbits - rabbit profile, weight, health, meds, diseases, vaccines, photos
- 📚 History - full visit and medication history with filters and search
- ⚙️ More - vets, settings, notifications, export/import, subscription
The Today tab also has 5 quick action buttons: Bunny check-up, Visit, Med, Food, and Scan (PRO).
Bunny check-up (GI Score)
The bunny check-up is a 2-minute health check for your rabbit. You assess 5 GI parameters and get a score from 0 to 15. You can also add optional body observations.
How it works
- Tap "Bunny check-up" on the Today tab (or "Check" in the rabbit profile)
- Select your rabbit's mood
- Rate 5 parameters: droppings, appetite, water, activity, pain
- Optionally: measure temperature and add notes
- Tap "Save" - you'll get a score with interpretation

Temperature
Normal rabbit temperature is 38.5–39.5°C (101.3–103.1°F). Below 37.5°C or above 40°C requires immediate action.
Body observations (optional)
Below the GI parameters you can expand an optional body observations section: eyes, nose, teeth/mouth, ears, paws, tail/rear and fur/skin. For each part you mark "Normal" or "Noticed something" (the "Everything looks fine" button sets them all at once).
This is not a diagnosis - observations help you look at your bunny more mindfully and make it easier to show your vet what caught your eye. Marked observations appear in the rabbit profile and in the vet report.
Vet Visits
Track all vet visits: scheduled, completed, and cancelled. Each visit can have photos, vet notes, cost, and disease links.
Visit types
- 🩺 Check-up - routine examination
- 💉 Vaccination - with automatic next-dose calculation
- 🔬 Examination - blood, stool, urine, X-ray, ultrasound
- ✂️ Procedure - neutering, dental, other (with optional post-op monitoring)
- 🚨 Emergency - urgent case
How to add a visit
- Tap "Visit" on the Today tab or "+ Visit" in the rabbit profile
- Choose the visit type
- Set date, time, and vet
- Add notes, document photos, cost
- Optionally: set recurring visits (every 3, 6, or 12 months)
Vet report
In the rabbit profile, tap the 📄 icon to generate an HTML report with visit history, medications, and health data. You can print it or share it with your vet.
Medications
Add medications with full dosing schedules. The app will remind you before each dose.
How to add a medication
- Tap "Med" on the Today tab or "+ Add" in the rabbit's Meds section
- Enter the medication name and dose (e.g. "Rubenal", "1 tablet")
- Choose how many times per day (1–12x)
- Set administration times (manual or every X hours)
- Optionally: dependency on another med (e.g. "2h after Pyralgina")
- Set start and end dates
Marking doses
On the Today tab under "Meds today", you'll see all doses to give. Tap the checkbox next to a dose to mark it as given.
Weight Tracking
Regular weighing helps detect health problems early. A 10% weight loss can indicate illness.
How to add a measurement
- Go to the Rabbits tab → Overview section
- Tap "+ Weigh" next to the Weight section
- Enter weight in grams and date
- Tap "Save"
In the Trends section you'll see a weight chart over time (7, 30, 90 days or all time). The app also shows whether the weight is within, above, or below the target range.
Vaccines
Vaccinations are added as a special visit type. The app automatically calculates the next dose date.
How to add a vaccination
- In the rabbit profile, Health section → Vaccines
- Tap "Add vaccines"
- Choose a template (Myxomatosis, RHD-1, RHD-2, or combo) or enter a custom name
- Set the interval (e.g. every 180 days) - the app calculates the next dose date
Post-op Monitoring
After a procedure (neutering, dental surgery, etc.) you can activate monitoring mode. Every day you log your rabbit's condition in a simple form.
How to activate
- In the rabbit profile → Health section → Monitoring
- Tap "+ Activate"
- Choose mode: post-op (wound, eating, droppings, urine, belly, behavior) or observation (no wound)
- Set the monitoring period (e.g. 14 days)
Daily log
Each day you fill a quick form: wound condition, eating, drinking, droppings, behavior. You can add a wound photo and notes.
Food Safety Guide
A database of 100+ foods rated for rabbit safety. Before giving something new - check first!
How to use
- Tap "Food?" on the Today tab or the 🥬 icon in the header
- Browse products or search by name
- Filter by category (vegetables, fruits, herbs, basics) and safety rating
- Tap a product to see details: portions, health properties, warnings
Safety ratings
- ✅ Safe - can be given daily
- ⚠️ In moderation - occasionally, small amounts
- 🚫 Avoid - dangerous or toxic
Diseases
Track your rabbit's diseases with full history: dates, status (active, treating, recovered, chronic), notes, costs, and linked visits.
How to add a disease
- In the rabbit profile → Health section → Diseases
- Tap "+ Add"
- Enter the name, status, dates, notes, and photos
When adding visits, you can link them to a disease - the disease timeline will then show all related visits with total treatment cost.
History
The History tab shows the full list of visits and medications. Use filters and search to find what you need.
Filters
- Rabbit - show visits for a specific rabbit or all
- Visit type - check-up, vaccination, examination, procedure, emergency
- Search - type at least 2 characters to search notes, vet name, medication name
Settings
The More tab holds all app settings.
Vets
Add your vet contacts (name, phone, address, notes). They'll appear as options when adding visits.
Notifications
Configure reminders for:
- Daily health check (set the time)
- Medications (before each dose)
- Visits (day before, morning of the visit)
- Vaccines (when a date approaches)
- Post-op monitoring
Export & Import
Export all data (including photos) to a JSON file. Useful as a backup or when switching phones.
- Export: Tap "Export backup" → JSON file to share
- Import: Tap "Import" → select a .json file
Badges & Streaks
Earn badges for consistent care: 7, 30, 100 regular check-ups, first visit, first weight, and more. Your streak motivates regular monitoring!
Dark Mode
Switch to dark mode in the More tab - tap "Dark" / "Light". Perfect for nighttime check-ups when you don't want to blind your bunny (or yourself).
Households (Pro)
Households let you share rabbit care with family, partners, or caretakers. All members see the same data and can take care of the rabbits together.
How to create a household
- Sign in with Google or Apple (More tab → Subscription)
- You need an active Pro subscription
- Go to More → Households
- Tap "Create household" and give it a name
- Choose whether to migrate your current rabbits to the household
Inviting members
- In your household, tap "Invite"
- You'll get a 6-character invite code
- Send the code to the person you want to invite (text, messenger, in person)
- The code is valid for 1 hour and is single-use
The invited person opens the app, taps "Join household", and enters the code. They don't need a Pro subscription - a free account is enough.
Member roles

Switching context
A context switcher appears at the top of the app. You can quickly switch between:
- Personal data - your private rabbits (stored locally)
- Household - shared rabbits (stored in the cloud)
You can belong to multiple households at the same time.
Activity feed
On the Today tab you'll see an activity feed - who changed what in the household. You can see added visits, meds, weight, photos, and other member actions.
Shared photos
Members can add rabbit photos to the shared gallery. Photos are stored in the cloud and visible to all members. Owner and admin can delete photos.
Leaving and deleting
- Any member can leave a household at any time
- The owner can delete the household - data is removed from the cloud
- Data contributed by a member stays in the household after they leave

AI Document Scanning (Pro)
Take a photo of a vet document - AI reads the data and suggests auto-filling a visit (date, type, notes, recommendations).
Cloud Backup (Pro)
Sign in with Google or Apple and enable cloud backup. Data is encrypted before upload. You can restore it on a new device.
How to activate
Go to the More tab → Subscription or tap the 👑 crown on any Premium feature.

No. It's a tool that organizes and supports care - not a diagnosis and not a substitute for a vet. Medical decisions always belong to your vet.
An optional, quick review of a few wellbeing parameters (e.g. appetite, activity). The entry is saved to history, so it's easier to spot a change over time and show it to your vet. It's one of many features, not the core of the app.

By default all data is stored locally on your device - nothing is sent to any server. You can export your data as a JSON backup. Optionally, on the Pro plan, you can enable cloud backup - then your data is stored on EU servers (Firebase, europe-west1), encrypted and accessible only to you. Cloud backup is off by default and requires separate consent.

Two ways: (1) Export data to a JSON file (More → Export) and import on the new device, or (2) use cloud backup (Pro) - sign in with the same account on the new phone.
Household data is stored in the Firebase cloud on EU servers (Belgium). It's encrypted in transit and at rest. Only invited members can access it - verified by Firebase Security Rules. Only the household owner needs a Pro subscription. The owner can delete the household and all its data at any time.
